Okie. I guess it's my turn again to introduce you to the city of Cleveland. I hate to tell you that I know nothing about the city. So everything written here is all fictional. Besides, it's dang cold over here. Why would anyone want to visit? ![]()
BTW, did anyone see that Batman Forever movie? Did you notice that Val Kilmer is a major babe? If you find yourself drooling all over the theater like me, then go rent Willow, Real Genius, and Top Secret!. In Top Secret! he is not only a babe, he also sings. He sings in the Oliver Stone movie, the Doors too, but the movie is kinda depressing. He's in other movie, like Top gun and Real McCoy, but I got tired pushing the forward button since the movies focus on Tom Cruise and Kim Basinger, respectively. I heard his wife who he met on the set of Willow and also co-starred in Kill me again, filed for divorce. I feel sorry for the kids, but can't be any happier. If anyone would like to start a Val Kilmer groupies, dream on. I won't --not that crazy.
Val Kilmer is also starring in Wings of courage and Heat this year. He's a pretty cool (or weird?) guy. He refuses to pose with a cigarette. He very selective about his part, except for Top Gun which he says Paramount made him do it, and of course Batman Forever. They say he is also difficult to work with. So what? --as long as he's cute. Don't tell him I said that. He hates being seen as a hunk.
Enough about Val. Where was I? Oh, yeah. Cleveland. Tha reminds me. I saw Star Trek, the movie yesterday. I know, I know. I'm a decade too late. So? I gotta say that the movie sucks. I never liked captain Kurt anyway. I waited for almost half an hour or at least it felt like it, until Captain Picard shows up.
Let's stop the rambling and get to the point, shall we? Yes, let's start at Cedar Point, one hour to the west of Cleveland. At Cedar Point, I screamed. Putt got 2 speeding tickets. Beau screamed. Putt lost his camera. Gloy screamed. Putt puked. That about sums it all. Anyway, I've got the season pass so, if anyone plans to visit the Point, then e-mail me. I'll be happy to go, except when I don't wanna go.

If you're here with your folks, avoid the Point (or else they'll end up like Putt). May I suggest Sea World? It's half an hour drive to the Southeast of Cleveland. I haven't been there since 93. I heard they've got the new Dolphin Alcove and the Baywatch Team.
You're out of luck if you're trying to looking for Thai food in Cleveland. Columbus is half the size of this city, but it has more than twice the number of Thai restaurants. The Chinese food is already though. Lee wah and Che's are 2 of my favorite restaurants. Lee wah is open till 2 am everyday. They have Thai karaoke, but who are we kidding?
I am a student at Case Western Reserve University. With a Full-time Thai student body of 50 or more, the Thai in CWRU might be a small community but add a batch of new ELS students at CWRU every month then Thais rule. There are also other MBA schools here as well. Cleveland State University accepts MBA student on the basis of 1050. That's the sum of 200 times GPA and GMAT score. Balwin-Wallace, on the other hand, requires only a passing score of 550 on the TOEFL (no GMAT).
There are a lot of fun activities down at the Nautica on the side of Cleveland river. In the Summer, Shooter features Live Rock Band on the side of the River every evening. By night, Cleveland features three of the best clubs in the country, Whiskey. It's right in the middle of the Flats which houses many clubs and sport bars cover charge is free on Saturday if you arrive before 10:00pm. Club 1148 close to Shooter's features college night on Thursday (free admission with any college ID) and ladies night on Friday. If you plan to go on College ID nite, go there before midnight, ok? The last place, Trilogy, the largest and most techno of the three charges $7 cover charge and opens till 4 am on Sunday. Also changes its name to the Church on Sunday. Expect long lines after 10 pm.

On the Lake Shore The Rock and Roll Hall Fame ( click here to see what the building looks like.) and the New Science Museum with its IMAX theatre are not much of a tourist attraction for visitors from Chicago or LA but enough to be the envy of those visiting from Cornell or Bloomington. Hey, I'm from Columbus and I'm excited.
And did I mentioned about the Indians, the (former) Browns, and the Cavs? I didn't think so.
