SiamWEB, courtesy of Internet Thailand, gets a display booth and presentation time on a mini stage along with Internet Thailand and CyberPub at IT-Trade 96 show.
SiamWEB was displayed on Internet thailand's new Mac 8500, which is also use to broadcast LIVE cam picture from the event direct from video camera on to IT-Trade web page. This is Thailands first live cam presentation.
On the presentation day, most of SiamWEB new maintainters [sine, pupe, pop, oui, vora] was here. Nungie freshly arrived from NJ, also came down to join the fun. We just hang out , poking around with a new computers, around IT trade and took some group pictures. Then we walk around the IT trade telling people about the presentation late that af
ternoon.
Areeya (Pop) Chumsai was SiamWEB speaker. During the presentaion Pop was flashing her killer dimples everywhere, telling people about internet, and what siamWEB is. She announces the opening of h
er own home page in SiamWEB site. PuPe (Don Chumsai) helped demonstrate his expertise in the use ofIRC / n-Talk. Internet Thailand's staff, Anto and P' Panich, the coolio NI
TC stud was running around to get the machine running. P Joy attracts the crowd with her bright red dress. :-D. Kataliya Mcintosh was also invited, but she was late and missed Pop's presentation, so we had to present to her and her friends again. Lateness is a *fashion* in Bangkok, and guesswhat, she's _really_ into *fashion* ;-)
She and her friends got so exited and wanted get a new computer, surf the net, and join SiamWEB celebrity corner. This exitement however, doesn't seem to last, she was a no show for her inernet lesson and home page creation schedul
ed at the meeting later that week. (Perhaps she's sending out a message that she's a super *fashion* model ..HeHehe ) I guess verbal commitment is not to be taken seriously with her. Anyway, if she had shown up, I don't
know if I'll be able to finish the work at INET, since I had to leave Bkk for Columbus the week after this IT trade show. Other than work with Internet thailand, SiamWEB site hasn't been completely transfered from original site, domain name registeration, new server machine sponsor, signing agreements.. etc.
At the end of the day, we had a bit of photo session, here's the crazy STUDS posing! har har.. Sure this SiamWEB IT meeting + presentation had left something to smile about
