You'll probably noticed alot of messed up counter number.. it was because of hard drive error, it thinks it is full when it is not. anyway, we've changed that drive to a new on this febuary 98, donated by Sine. :) Sorry for the counter watchers na crup.

Your web page's great, all these statements from the readers make me wanna go back to Thailand. Been there in July 1999 and honestly, the Thai people's warm hospitality, friendliness and smile made my first visit memorable. Fact is, I am saving enough travel money for my next trip in October 1999. I hope to meet friends when I arrive so touring the place would be a worthwhile experience (my first trip was for business). I love Thai food, despite the fiery characteristic of thai cuisine (downed barrels of cola to drown the sting!). Nevertheless, I know that despite the region's economic difficulties, I know Thailand will bounce back into the "tiger's den" because what they have that other asian countries don't is their genuine friendliness, concern to their people including their guests and no matter what happens, Thailand will always be on top of my list of travel sites which is worth bragging about to friends and family members.

Well, it's the coolez website, not kiddin'. You know, some people have some projects to do about Thai culture, and they'd be grateful is you guys allow us to mail the page. Now I'm doing a big project which counts a whole lot on my 2nd quater grade. I don't have much time opening at home, cause therez a big load of home work and the net goes bonkers at about 8pm. So if I can send this homepage, I could open it at the iMac at school and do my work. By the way, your homepage is GRRRRRRRREEEEAAAAAAAT. I'll tell every everybody at school 'bout it.

I have very large interests in Asian cultures and languages, I am currently learning Japanese(chinese), Korean, and trying to find out where I can get some resources on the 'Thai' Language, Where I live there is a thai man who came to the area where I live and opened a THai restaraunt, he nows owns the whole shopping area, Thai Food is the best. I would appreciate some information on the Thai language. :)

Hi, I am new in the net. However I spent two of of the exciting years 2514+2515 in Tak. Teaching at the Tak Technical Institute. Is there any Teacher, Student, Resident in and around Tak who would like to refresh my memories? Sorry, I have never made it back to Tak, but to Bangkok many times. I need to update my Thai as well - the basics are still there (who could forget?.)btw: siamweb is best among many good one's, I will explore it to the last dot and image.

Sawadee tahn tahng lai, I am a retired USAF member who was stationed in Thailand (and other places nearby) from 1970 to 1976. As a young man I learned Thai language, custom and culture from my Nooay Lah Dtaawen comrades in the jungles of Northeast Thailand. My wife was Thai and now that my children are grown I am on my own again. I spent my young adult years in Thailand and feel right at home in your country..probably more so than I do in the United States. For the last four years I have worked in the US for seven to eight months and spent the winter months enjoying the warmth, friendly smiles and wonderful food in my beautiful second home. I have spent most of my time in Bangkok as my departed wife's son, my daughter-in-law and grand-daughter live in Ton Buri, Somdet Chao Phraya, near Wat Ah-Nohng and Talat Din Daeng. As all good Thai children they feel the need to take care of their father for which I love them dearly. But as a retired warrior with years of combat experience it makes me feel very confined and sometimes uncomfortable. This year I plan on spending the months of December to April (I can't miss Loi Kratong or Song Kran) someplace other than Bangkok. I love Eesahn food, lahb, goi, kow neow...even dak dtaan and kai moht daeng...hard to find in a city with Pizza Huts, McDonald's, KFCs, Dunkin' Donuts and 7-11s on every street corner. I miss samai bohrahn when the only lights at night were from homemade takien and the best morning treat was pahng tahng koh and Ovaltine. I am hoping that my brothers and sisters might suggest some places for me to visit and places to stay this year. I think of Thailand every day.

I'd like to receive email from adults from Thailand - I'm looking for all kinds of information - from the culture, the food, the music, etc. I'm planning a special Thai evening for a man I'm dating (he travelled for many months in Thailand and loved it) beginning with a delicious Thai meal, with Thai music playing in the background - I'd like this 'date' to be as authentic as possible so any and all information would be greatly appreciated! I am a 69 year old retired lawyer. I love Thailand and spent the whole of winter 1998/99 at Chiang Mai University learning to speak and write Thai. I am hoping to continue this coming winter, and to become a regular visitor to Thailand once I have learned the language reasonably well. To help me learn the language I would like to rent a house or apartment at my expense and invite three or four Thai students to live there with me for a very cheap rent, on the understanding that we speak Thai all the time and live like a family. If there is anybody out there interested in such an arrangement, please email me at ksb3@hotmail.com and I will reply straight away. Although I am getting a bit old I like and understand young people. Here at home I have my daughter and 5 grandchildren living in my house, and we all get on with each other very well.

It is good even for the bad messages because it allows the less experienced users to get a small taste of the bad things so they know to be careful. Siamweb is one of the best social/ travel sites on the web! Your open free and frank discussion pages, while unavoidably littered with the cyberpeasant drool of the feebleminded and unsocialized mob can easily handle the strain. Why? Because the spirit of freedom of expression shines through! There is a real effort here to make things work! I would look forward to your comments on my comment of July 14. jroy46@hotmail.com Best regards

This site is still beautiful after all these years. I got my master's from USC in 1997, but was not very active in the Thai club there... probably because my heart was still a "Bruin" as I graduated from UCLA undergrad in 1991. It was UCLA Thai Smakom (c/o 1991) that brought me back to my Thai culture after coming to the USA in 1976. It's been an interesting life and I couldn't be more proud of my Thai culture and the new generation. I am currently in law enforcement in the USA and any Thai US Citizens wanting to learn more about a career as a police officer or a federal agent may contact me for "career talk". It's funny how fast the years passed by. One moment you're a college student, the next moment you're old enough to be a professor at the college. To the next generation of Thai college students, no matter what you choose to become, you will represent the Thai community in this ever growing global realm. Let's do it in a positive way and really be socially conscious in whatever you do. Selfish endeav Panuchai <lerdrit@aol.com>

I recently received a piece of Siam Silver jewelry as a gift, and am trying to locate the history of the dancers and symbols. I would love to visit Thailand, but since I live in Muskogee, Oklahoma, USA, I doubt that I will ever have the opportunity. I would love to find someone who could help me locate some more pieces of Siam Silver, I would enjoy giving friends here something so beautiful and "exotic". I would also like to collect as many pieces as I can find. I think it would make a great legacy for my sons. I work in a mental health center developing employment and training programs for the mentally ill and developmentally delayed. We are currently learning worm farming. I understand they do a lot of recycling in India using redworms, but I haven't heard of it in Thailand. Wish I could visit. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it! Good job on your web site. Hello my name is Ed, I am an Egyptian American, living in the beautiful Seattle area. It has long been my dream to visit your country. I have heard so much about its beauty and people. I also have heard some negative feedback. I would like to know what and where to avoid tourist rip off and the sex industry all together. If you can help, it would be great. I also would like to meet with some local Thai people during my trip. I should be arriving on the 2nd week of April 99. If you would like to, we can get together and maybe I would be able to show you the Great North West of the US some day :-)

I was only 17 at the time, so my nickname was "dek". I have never traveled anywhere that could compare with Thailand. I am planning on returning to Udorn (finally) this summer. I am sure my many Thai friends have long since moved on....but I am going to try to find them amyway. I have trouble remembering the names, but I am sure I will remember the places. I can only remember one name-Bang-Orn Miphara (Cag). The web site is great..brought back many good memories. Ed Seth--no longer a dek

Visited Thailand in 1988, spending 1 week in Bangkok and 1 week in Chiang Mai. I was absolutely "blown away" by the wonder of it all. My most indelible impression is of the lovely, beautiful, kindly and seemingly always smiling people. I only wish I could have made more contact personally. I will never forget those few I was able to meet and talk to on more than a brief "tourist" sort of occasion. If I am blessed again to be able to visit, I will try harder to make real friends. Thailand certainly treated me like a valued friend!!

Thailand is beautiful, the people are beautiful, the only thing I didn't enjoy was the humidity, and smell. That was all disregarded because of the great food, good beer, and groovy music. See you Dec 99.:) E-mail, will be visiting N. of Bangkok.

Hi, Keep up the good work. This is a really great website. It is great to be able to be in touch with Thailand and things Thai from home. Until I can figure out a way to move to Thailand and make a living there,I will have to be content with visiting a couple of times a year and checking out the website. Charles

HI there!! Wow!! This is an absolutely amazing and very informative site. I love it. And I totally adore you Pop. Oh, I have one little question. Can anyone out there help me please. I didn't know where else to put this, so I'm putting it here. I love watching Thai movies and I totally adore Thai stars, now I'm interested in ordering Thai magazines, specifically Praew and Kwanruen. Oh, by the way, I'm Cambodian, so it's very hard for me to read Thai, I can read the letters, but that's about it. Please help me find a solution to this problem. I really would like to order those magazines, but I don't know how, and/or who to get a hold of, to order them. Please help me. Thanks!! And this page is totally awesome. Bye now
