On
january 2, 1788, Georgia was established to
be the forth state of the United State of America. It come after
Deleware, Pennsylvania and new Jersey respectively. Georgia is also
called 'Peach State'. It is in the southeastern part of America
closing to Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina and South
Carolina. The capital of Georgia is Atlanta. The temperature in
Atlanta is about 40 celcius in summer. In winter it is about -15
celcius. After taking off at Atlanta International airport, you
will be surprised by it tremendous size. An airport train system
is offered there. MARTA train station is also located in the airport.

Atlanta
is the size of 1996 Summer Olympic Games. IZZY, a symbol of the
Olympic Games, is
the teenager who lives in a fantastic world found only inside
the Olympic Torch.
Georgia Institute of Technology
(Georgia Tech) is located in the heart of the city. It will
be transformed into a small city designed to make the Olympic
atheletes feel at home in Atlanta. The campus will host two of
the largest Olympic sport venues.
The Olympic Village -During the Olympic Games, 15,000 Olympic
atheletes, coaches, official and other members of Olympic delegations
will live in Georgia Tech's residence halls and apartments.
The Nation Venue -Sport to be held in the newly constructed Georgia
Tech Aquatic Center include swimming, diving, synchronized swimming
and water polo. The facility will seat 15,000 people in its Olympic
configuration. There are 2,000 permanent seats in the facility.
The boxing Venue -Georgia Tech will host the Olympic boxing competition
in Alexander Memorial Coliseum.
Atlanta
is an exciting city with many interesting place to visit. Lenox
Square, Cumberland, and Perimeter malls offer a place to look
for clothes, music, and food. Phipp's Plaza is a playground for
the wealthy, featuring several upscale stores and theaters. The
head of the Coca-Cola Company Limited
is located in Atlanta. You can visit this company by paying an
entrance ticket about 4 dollars. The manufacture process is presented
step by step. Soda (includeing Mello linchee from Thailand) is
served.
Not far from Atlanta, Stone Mountain is the largest piece
of exposed granite in the world. The public park surrounding it
offers many diversions such as the Laser Show and hiking. If you
decide to find a place to enjoy Thai food throughout the city,
many Thai restaurants such as Little Bangkok, King & I, Pad Thai,
Phuket,ect. are met easily.
