Chicken Salad
Northern Stlye (Larb Gai)
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground chicken breast
- 5 T lemon juice
- 1 T fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 T kao kua (see glossary)
- Chopped green onion
- mints leaves
- 2 T sliced red onion or
shallot
- Cilantro
- some green vegetables such
as lettuce, sliced cabbage
Cook'em!!
- In saucepan, cook ground
chicken, with 1 teaspoon cooking oil, until pink is gone.
- Place in a mixing bowl,
let cool for 5 minutes.
- Season the with fish sauce,
lemon juice, kao kua and chili powder.
- Add green onion, chopped
red onion.
- Put in a serving plate,
top with mint leaves.
- Serve with vegetables
- Enjoy it! Note: I always
add a little sugar to it maybe half a teaspoon or so.
